Buren: Le décor et son double

Le décor et son double, a work by the well-known French artist Daniel Buren, has a specific link with the history of the S.M.A.K. as a museum. For the Chambres d’Amis exhibition in 1986 Buren created a copy of the guest room of the art collector Anton Herbert, decorated with his own renowned striped motif. This work is now being put on display again for the first time.
