The Factory is an important link in any visitor’s experience. Overlooking the Flower Show hall, The Factory provides a setting for introductory talks, reflection, in-depth study, rest, debate, play, workshops and so on. The Factory is a 'do-factory': it is here that reports are made, reviews written and critical cartoons drawn. Visitors can watch films, leaf through catalogues, or leave ideas and comments.
During the Hareng Saur exhibition The Factory will be appropriated by James Ensor and his contemporary colleagues. Here visitors can enjoy the beautiful work, De musicus Ensor en zijn solsleutels, from 1939 and savour the masquerade, Hareng Saur, Ensor and contemporary art with Tiong Ang & Roy Villovoy’s Geheugenspel from 2004.
The Factory is an educational production house where active guided tours, Art Immersion Sessions and the ‘Jarig’ birthday parties are devised.
